Jeonmang Heukdwaeji (전망흑돼지) is a Jeju black pork restaurant on the coast road in Seongsan-eup, with a clear view of Seongsan Ilchulbong across the water. It shares its building with a raw fish restaurant, Jeonmang Joeun Hoetjip (전망좋은횟집). We had lunch there as a family on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and ordered the Jeonmang Heuk Ilchulbong set, a mixed platter of four black pork cuts for 62,000 won. The kids loved the chewy pork, and the open space by the sea meant they could get up and run around between bites.

Lunch by Seongsan Ilchulbong
We were on a family trip to Jeju in July, and this was our lunch stop on the east side of the island. It was a gray, cloudy day, but Seongsan Ilchulbong, the big volcanic crater that rises out of the sea at the eastern tip of Jeju, was still right there in front of us. The restaurant sits on the road along the water, with a low stone wall and a walking path between the tables and the sea.

There is seating inside, and there are also tables outside on the open ground in front, facing the sea. We arrived just after noon. Because there is so much space around the tables, our kids could get up, walk along the wall, look at the view and come back to eat, which made it a relaxed lunch for us too.

The black pork menu
The black pork menu describes the restaurant as a charcoal-grilled geungogi specialist (참숯근고기전문점) serving “100% Jeju black pork”. Geungogi (근고기) means thick-cut pork, sold by weight, and it is the usual way to eat black pork in Jeju. These were the prices on the menu in July 2026:
| Item | Korean | Amount | Price (won) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jeonmang Heuk Ilchulbong set: pork belly with skin, neck, jowl, gabeuri (limited to 17 sets a day) | 전망 흑 일출봉 set | 550 g, 2 people | 62,000 |
| Jeonmang Heuk geungogi set: pork belly with skin, neck | 전망 흑 근고기 set | 550 g, 2 people | 60,000 |
| Geungogi set | 전망 흑 근고기 set | 700 g, 3 people | 76,000 |
| Geungogi set | 전망 흑 근고기 set | 900 g, 4 people | 97,000 |
| Gabeuri-sal | 전망 가브리살 | 180 g | 21,000 |
| Hangjeong-sal (jowl) | 전망 항정살 | 180 g | 21,000 |
| Extra neck or belly | 추가 (목살/오겹살) | 300 g | 32,000 |
Side dishes on the same menu: seafood doenjang stew 8,000 won, black pork kimchi stew 7,000 won, cold naengmyeon (in broth or spicy) 8,000 won and a puffed steamed egg 4,000 won. Soju and beer are 5,000 won, makgeolli 6,000 won, Jeju beer 9,000 won and soft drinks 2,000 won.

The Ilchulbong set
We ordered the Jeonmang Heuk Ilchulbong set, named after the peak we were looking at. It is the only set with four cuts: ogyeopsal (오겹살, pork belly with the skin on), moksal (목살, neck), hangjeong-sal (항정살, jowl) and gabeuri-sal (가브리살, a small special cut). The menu marks it as limited to 17 sets a day, so if it is the one you want, it helps to go early. We got it at noon without any problem.

The table came set with lettuce, kimchi, pickles, a few small sauces and a dab of wasabi, around a round grill in the middle. The pork arrived in thick pieces with a king oyster mushroom, and we grilled it on the table, cutting it into bite-size pieces once the outside had browned.

The pork was chewy in a good way, with a firm bite rather than soft, and the kids ate it very happily.
The raw fish restaurant next door
The other restaurant in the building, Jeonmang Joeun Hoetjip, has its own menu of raw fish and Jeju seafood, from mixed sashimi courses to braised and grilled hairtail (galchi). We did not order from it, and I did not check whether you can order from both menus at the same table.

Getting there
The address is 248 Ilchul-ro in Seongsan-eup, on the road that runs along the water facing Seongsan Ilchulbong. Search for 전망좋은횟집 on a map app, since the black pork restaurant shares that building and listing. The DiningCode listing for the raw fish restaurant notes free parking, an outdoor terrace and high chairs for small children; I did not confirm these separately for the black pork side. We sat down just after noon, which suited a lunch stop. The path by the stone wall is right outside if you want a short walk with the peak in front of you.
What we thought
The kids loved this meal. The pork was chewy and satisfying, the four-cut set was a good way to try different parts of the pig, and the setting, with Seongsan Ilchulbong across the water and room for children to move around, made it easy for the whole family. That is why it gets 4.5 out of 5.
