About Korea Food Trails

Korea Food Trails is a personal food blog about honest restaurant reviews across Korea. The focus sits on Seoul, Hanam, and the surrounding areas of Gyeonggi-do. Every review comes from an actual visit — real food ordered, real bills paid, real opinions shared.

Who Is Behind This Blog?

My name is Jun. I’m a food-obsessed writer based in the greater Seoul area. I eat out constantly — Korean BBQ, Japanese restaurants, raw fish markets, street food, neighborhood comfort food. I started this blog because I wanted a place to write about those meals honestly. Most food content online runs through a glossy PR filter. This site does not.

Finding a genuinely good restaurant in an unfamiliar neighborhood is harder than it should be. Korea Food Trails exists to fix that. I want this site to be the resource I wish I’d had — specific, honest, and written by someone who actually cares about the food.

What You Will Find Here

Every post covers a restaurant I personally visited. I write about what I ordered, how the food tasted, and whether the place is worth your time and money. I also include practical details: prices, how to get there, and what to skip on the menu.

Additionally, the writing here is in English. It aims at both international visitors to Korea and English-speaking residents who want trustworthy local food recommendations. I cover a wide range — from high-quality Korean BBQ and Japanese dining to tteokbokki spots and charcoal chicken joints.

Honesty Policy

All reviews on this site reflect my genuine personal experience. I do not accept payment for positive coverage. I do not write sponsored reviews disguised as editorial content. When I visit a restaurant on my own dime, that opinion goes on the page — good, bad, or mixed.

However, some posts may contain affiliate links or display advertising through Google AdSense. These do not influence the content of my reviews in any way.
