Petit Chlo Jamsil: Mascarpone Tiramisu in the Bangi-dong Food Alley

Petit Chlo (쁘띠클로) is a small handmade cake cafe on Olympic-ro 32-gil in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in the Bangi-dong food street near Jamsil. My wife and I stopped there on the evening of April 10, 2026, between dinner at Jjimagi and a beer at Geumbyeol Maekju. We shared a mascarpone tiramisu with a cream-topped iced coffee and an americano. The tiramisu was good; the drinks were average.

A coffee stop between dinner and a beer

April 10 was an evening out for the two of us. We started with steamed shellfish at Jjimagi, walked over to Petit Chlo for a coffee and something sweet, and finished the night at Geumbyeol Maekju. All three are within the same few streets of the Bangi-dong food alley.

From the street, Petit Chlo has a black sign that reads “PETIT CHLO, Hand Made Cake Cafe”, a red door and round signs for coffee, cake and macarons. A poster by the door says 딸기케이크 팔아요, “we sell strawberry cake.”

It was busy inside, but we did not have to wait. There was exactly one free table left when we walked in, and we took it.

The cake case

You order at the counter after looking through the glass cake case. The top shelf had macarons at 3,800 won each, in flavors like caramel brûlée, chocolate brownie, matcha Nutella, royal milk tea, strawberry milk, black sesame injeolmi and walnut. The middle shelf had rectangular cream cakes in individual slices, and the bottom had whole strawberry cakes.

The drinks menu

The drinks menu is a printed card on the counter, in Korean with English names underneath. Prices are in thousands of won, so 4.8 means 4,800 won. A note at the top says a larger size costs 1,000 won more, and decaf is 500 won extra.

A sign on the counter asks for one order per person (1인 1주문), and says no outside food or drinks. There are QR codes for Kakao Pay and Zero Pay on the counter as well.

Tiramisu and coffee

The mascarpone tiramisu is a neat rectangle of cream layered over a dark base, with cocoa powder on top in a pattern of white dots and a small logo sticker. It comes on a white plate with a blue rim, on a tray with a fork and napkin. This was the part of the visit we liked: the tiramisu was good.

The cream-topped iced coffee came in a plastic cup with an orange sleeve, with a thick layer of cream on top dusted with cinnamon-colored powder. We also had an americano. Both drinks were just average for us, nothing we would come back for on their own.

The keychain wall

One wall near the counter is covered in plush keychains for sale: bears, cats, rabbits, dolphins and other animals, hanging on a pegboard. Next to it is a fridge of bottled juices.

Getting there

Petit Chlo is at 13 Olympic-ro 32-gil, on the same street as Jjimagi (38 Olympic-ro 32-gil), so the walk between them is short. This part of Bangi-dong in Songpa-gu is a grid of small streets full of restaurants, bars and cafes, and it gets busy in the evening. DiningCode lists the cafe as open from 11 a.m. to midnight, so it works both as an afternoon cafe and as a late dessert stop like ours.

Words that help

  • 생크림 (saengkeurim): fresh cream, used for cream cakes.
  • 쁘띠 (ppeutti): “petit”, used here for the smaller whole cakes.
  • 1호 (il-ho): size 1, a standard Korean whole cake size.
  • 아인슈페너 (ainsyupeneo): Einspänner, coffee topped with cream.
  • 1인 1주문: one order per person.

Would we go back?

For the cakes, yes. The tiramisu was the reason the stop was worth it, and there were plenty of other slices in the case we did not try. For coffee alone, we would not make a special trip. It fits well as a short dessert stop in an evening around the Bangi-dong food alley. I am giving it 4.1 out of 5.
